Donny Levine (Adam Sandler) fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg) in middle school with his teacher. He raises Todd on his own until Todd turns 18 and loses contact with him afterward. 30 years later, after being faced with a bill for back taxes, Donny visits Todd, who has become a successful hedge fund manager, on the eve of his wedding to Christina (Leighton Meester), hoping Todd can give him $7 dollars, but Donny must first deal with the consequences of years worth of poor parenting.
